Users / Access
Who can get access
As ReTo focusses on the Flemish (Belgian) data, we restrict access to Belgians. At the moment, the following user groups are accepted:
-
- Full access for Belgian NCPs and Belgian PC members: all data, as there is a confidentiality clause in their contract
-
- Restricted access for civil servants of the Flemish government: full info on funding results, limited information on the submitted proposals.
-
- Full info limited to own organisation for staff of the European Liaison Offices (ELO) and project offices of universities, research institutes and companies.
-
- Then we prefer to offer you a personal follow-up. Please check the NCP Flanders site to find out who is responsible for the domain where you submitted a proposal, and contact her/him directly.

After submitting your project proposal...
A quick first rough estimate...
Some days after the closing deadline, you'll find in the Funding and Tenders Portal in the "call updates" section (for your call topic) an overview of the number of submitted projects. Using a little bit of math, you can calculate a high-level estimate of your chances: divide the available call topic budget and the requested typical project size to get the number of projects that could be funded, and divide this by the number of submissions.
... followed by a long silence
Between the submission deadline and the call results lies on average a period of 3 to 5 months. For each call, on the page with the topic conditions on the funding and tenders portal, an approximate timeline is provided. In this period, a 3-step thorough evaluation process is executed.

Statistics
Easiest starting point are the
different dashboards with statistical information on the Funding and Tenders Portal. When looking for information, it's important to differentiate between proposals (=everything that gets submitted) and projects (=what is funded).
More information can be found as well in this infosheet.
Project info
On CORDIS you'll find information on all EU-supported R&D activities. Use one of these two search engines to get quickly results for Horizon Europe Horizon 2020 or FP7 projects. Make sure to use the 'Domain of Application' filter to narrow down the results.
